The Sound of Music screened for free at
David Pecaut Square last night. It was magical, truly. Arriving early we scored prime grassy real estate and over the next hour the park filled with hundreds of people bearing blankets, snacks and wine. There was much singing along, laughter, heckling and applause. The stillness of the crowd during the tense hideout scene near the end of the film was a pretty special moment; not a whisper or rustling to be heard.
